Baptist Student Union

The goal at the BSU is to intentionally share the name of Christ so that He is known to the students that come to the BSU and then they in turn take His name out to be known on the campus, in the community, and across the world. This is a ministry supported by all Baptist Churches in the association that give to the Cooperative Program.

The BSU is located on the Jackson County Campus of MGCCC near the Gautier-Vancleave entrance next to the early learning center.

BSU Programs Include:

  • Free Lunch Outreaches

    • This outreach provides physical food for the body while at the same time providing spiritual food for the soul. Serving times are 12 noon to 1pm every Tuesday and Wednesday (Unless Campus activities prevent)

NOTE: For the 2020-2021 school year MGCCC has limited size gatherings for clubs and unions. Meals WILL NOT be able to be served. In order to continue outreach the BSU is requesting cases of water, packaged snacks and snack assortments to be donated in place of meals. Please contact David MacLellan or Bobby Foster for more information.

  • Small Group Bible Studies

    • At different times during the week the students lead bibles studies both on campus and in the BSU building. These small groups are encouraged to hold each other to a higher accountability, to mature in Christ, and be a source of community.

  • Other programming involves various outreach projects to the campus and the community as well as mission trips, missions support, and personal life-changing relationships.
